Inspired by the rich legacy of Byzantine craftsmanship and the natural beauty of Albania’s Adriatic coastline, the artistic concept for Crowne Plaza Hotel Durres explores the connection between culture, landscape, and contemporary hospitality. Our approach was rooted in creating a meaningful sense of place—one that reflects the history, character, and identity of Durres while enhancing the guest experience.
Drawing inspiration from Byzantine motifs, coastal stone formations, local architectural materials, and the ever-changing movement of the sea, we developed a collection of bespoke artworks that reinterpret these influences through a contemporary artistic language. Historical references and natural elements were carefully balanced to create works that feel both culturally grounded and visually refined. The colour palette, textures, and compositions were thoughtfully curated to echo the surrounding environment and establish a strong connection between the interior spaces and the destination itself.
Through art consultancy, concept development, and creative production, each artwork was designed as part of a larger narrative that connects guests to the destination. The result is a cohesive artistic experience that celebrates the heritage, landscape, and identity of Durres, transforming art into a meaningful layer of storytelling that enriches the space and strengthens the character of the Crowne Plaza brand.
